A 35-year-old hairdresser named Afia has been killed by an unknown person on Monday morning in Wudokum, a community near Okorase in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region.
It is unknown what caused her death, but a close family member told Teacher Kwadjo of Fly TV that he alleged the deceased was murdered for following someone’s spouse, and as a result, her ex-husband, who is now living in Abenabu, divorced her earlier this year.
Her lifeless body was discovered in a nearby bush in a pool of blood, with bruises on her face, and two broken blocks. It is assumed that her attacker used the block to smash her head.
According to the source, the deceased apparently received a call about 7 p.m. on Sunday evening to meet someone at an unknown place, and she informed her two boys that she was heading to town to pick up some money and wouldn’t be able to return until Monday morning.
Meanwhile, the body has been put at the Suhum Hospital mortuary for an autopsy as the police investigate the cause of her death.
