A 14-year-old girl identified only as Elizabeth, from Asiakwa in the Abuakwa South Municipality of the Eastern Region, has tragically lost her life after being struck by a Honda Pilot vehicle with registration number GR 8966-14. The incident occurred on Saturday morning, 29th November 2025, at about 9:30 a.m. on the Asiakwa–Kibi highway.
According to her mother, Obenewa Joyce, she had sent Elizabeth to her shop to deliver an item to a customer across the road. Moments later, she heard reports from residents that her daughter had been hit by a speeding vehicle. Elizabeth was rushed to the Kibi Government Hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead.
Another resident, Musa Aniagyei, who was also knocked down by the same vehicle, survived the incident and was receiving treatment with a broken leg has also passed away.
