George Agyei Frempong, an Assembly Member for the Oguaa electoral area in New Juaben South, Eastern Region, tragically lost his life after being electrocuted while trying to fix a streetlight.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, October 26. According to community members, Frempong, who was not a trained electrician, sustained severe injuries from the shock and fell from the pole.
Witnesses nearby rushed him to the Eastern Regional Hospital, but despite their efforts, Frempong passed away shortly afterwards.
