Police have since conveyed the remains of the deceased, Grace Mudor to the morgue.
The 71-year-old man, according to tenant’s accounts, says the wife is ungrateful to have enjoyed all the goodies of life with him only to be threatening him with a divorce after going blind.
“I woke up this dawn to put up fire for my wife at about 5 am. A few minutes later, I saw our blind landlord standing just right in front of their gate, saying that his wife has threatened to divorce and that he’s dealt with her. I quickly called another neighbour and we rushed to their room. It was very dark because there was no light. We came back and entered again and we found the wife being murdered in cold blood”, Felix Horgah recounted.
Checks while the body was bare – laid in the room revealed that her throat was cut, part of her breast and her left arm being butchered.
Grace’s body has since been deposited at the Holy Family Hospital morgue for autopsy whilst the suspect, George Mudor, is assisting the Nkawkaw police with investigations.
