The Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) has inaugurated a new branch in Mpraeso, the capital of Kwahu South Municipality in the Eastern Region.
The branch, opened on Friday, November 29, becomes the third CBG location in the Kwahu area, following offices in Abetifi and Nkawkaw earlier this year.
At the launch, CBG Board Chairman Nana Abrah Appiah encouraged residents to make CBG their preferred banking partner, citing the bank’s tailored services and customer-focused approach.
“The Consolidated Bank Ghana offers solutions that meet the everyday needs of our customers. We invite everyone in and around Kwahu to bank with us,” Nana Abrah Appiah said.
Kwahu Hemaa Nana Adwoa Gyamfua III lauded the bank’s expansion and urged it to support local development through corporate social responsibility initiatives.
“This effort by Nana Abrah Appiah and CBG is exceptional. It’s an example of how leadership can positively impact communities. We hope CBG contributes to the development of Kwahuman,” she said.
Managing Director Daniel Wilson Addo described the opening as a significant milestone in CBG’s history, expressing optimism about the branch’s impact on the community. He emphasized the bank’s readiness to support economic growth in the region, particularly through small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
General Manager for Consumer Banking, Joseph Okyere Opoku, reaffirmed CBG’s commitment to SMEs, identifying the sector as vital to the local economy. “We are fully prepared to serve the people of Kwahu and support the growth of businesses in the area,” he stated.
Since its inception in 2018, CBG has been dedicated to promoting financial inclusion and economic growth in Ghana. The bank has supported SMEs with over GHS 1.5 billion in funding, established advisory services, and partnered with organizations like Development Bank Ghana and the Ghana Enterprises Agency to provide loans and training.
CBG currently operates 114 branches across 13 regions in Ghana, with a vision to deliver simple, secure, and distinctive banking experiences to its customers.
