A 31- year – old lady, Lydia Kyerewaa has set her mother’s home ablaze at Akyem Apinamang in the Denkyembour District of the Eastern Region.
The mother of the woman, Anima Rita, a 50 – year – old narrated how her daughter set her home into ashes.
“My daughter came from Accra on Friday. Initially, she had told some people to inform me that she will deal with me. I was here and saw her entering my room with a bag containing some things I do not know what it was. Few minutes, I had left the room, I saw her sprinkle some substance, I think petrol and put her lighter. She lighted the house from the back with flames gazing through the roof. So I made a report to the police and they are currently looking for her. She’s my only child”, she stated.
Anima indicated that she lost her properties including sandals and slippers worth ¢9,000 and cash of ¢19,000 cedis. She’s therefore calling on benevolent individuals to come to her aid.
