Dr. Bryan Acheampong, a key figure in the Eastern Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to abandon any assumptions of victory in the region, promising a decisive win for the NPP in the upcoming elections.

Addressing a massive crowd during the NPP’s final Eastern Regional Walk in the Abetifi Constituency, Dr. Acheampong expressed confidence in the party’s stronghold in the region and reiterated his commitment to ensuring that supporters benefit from the party’s success.

“Every survey indicates that the NPP will win, thanks to the hard work and dedication you have shown,” he told the energized gathering. “Once Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia becomes President, I will personally ensure that all of you receive your fair share of the benefits. But for those not supporting the campaign, we will not cater to you when we win.”

Dr. Acheampong, who also serves as the Minister for Food and Agriculture, reiterated his controversial stance that the NPP would not relinquish power to the NDC after a victory, describing such an outcome as illogical.

“The NPP will win, and we will not hand over power to the NDC. Do you hand over power when you have won elections?” he asked the crowd, drawing loud cheers.

He cautioned against attempts to disrupt the elections, urging those with violent intentions to reconsider. “The election will be peaceful, free, and fair. But anyone who plans to use violence to disrupt the NPP’s victory will face the consequences. The Eastern Region is locked down, and anyone who tries to cause trouble will be met with a showdown,” he warned.

Dr. Acheampong also expressed optimism about reclaiming all lost parliamentary seats in the region, emphasizing that the NPP’s campaign efforts and measures have solidified their position.

The walk, which drew an estimated 60,000 NPP supporters from all 33 constituencies in the Eastern Region, featured party executives, state agency leaders, and other prominent figures. The event showcased the party’s grassroots strength as the NPP looks to solidify its dominance in one of its stronghold regions.
