The Immediate Past Eastern Regional Communications officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dallas Amponsah Williams will be contesting in the upcoming internal primaries of the NDC.
According to Dallas as he’s affectionately referred to, the NPP has little to show for the continuous stay of occupying the seat in the last 24 years.
In his quest to clinch the seat for the NDC, he believes it’s time to change the narrative and allow the NDC to lead the constituency for developments and progress.
He believes he has the requisite capabilities to wool the seat for the NDC in the 2024 General elections.
“The Nkawkaw constituency parliamentary seat has been in the possession of the NPP for 24 years, yet they have next to nothing to show for it in terms of development. I believe it is time to change course for the NDC to lead and ensure the constituency is not left out in development.
Myself, Darlas Ampomah Williams, represents that new phase for a better Nkawkaw Constituency”,
The NPP has been occupying the Nkawkaw Parliamentary seat for a very long time with Hon. Kwabena Adusa spending 12 years in office whilst Hon. Seth Adjei now Board Chairman for Ghana Tourism Authority was in office for 4 years and lost power to former Eastern Regional Minister, Eric Kwakye Darfour who spent 8 years from 2012 to 2020 with incumbent Hon. Joseph Frempong currently occupies the office of the NPP.
Dallas Amponsah Williams has a close stint with the National Communications Officer of the NDC, Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, Esq.
