The Managing Director of Ghana Publishing Company, Mr David Asante has donated an amount of Gh¢20,000 to the Nkawkaw constituency chapter of the New Patriotic Party for the creation of Welfare fund for the party delegates.
It could be recalled that the CEO during the constituency elections of the Party in June promised to support the party with Gh¢20,000 as welfare fund.
Mr David Asante made the donation on Sunday, September 11, at the constituency office in Nkawkaw.
Speaking in an interview with Republic FM’s Andy Frimpong Manso, the CEO stated that the gesture will not be the first and last but he will continuously be of support to the party anytime.
He added that as a Member of the Party who has been appointed by the President to head a state institution, he owes it the responsibility to give back and support the activities of the local party executives.

“We’re here today because of this, and apparently, this will not be the first and last. We are all members of the party, and the party is for all of us and we run a group or union with support and as we usually do, I decided to come today and support the local party because I believe the NPP is the best solution to Ghana’s economic problems.
If you look at the development meted out by the NPP party across the country, the last time I checked, the number of factories under the 1D1F commissioned by President Akufo-Addo was more than 100 and the question I asked is, if we can build 100 factories every 4 years, we will be on the path of industrialization as a country.
I have the instincts and believe that the NPP Government is the best thing that has ever happened to the fortunes of Ghana and by so doing, I have the onus to work for the party to continue to be in governance to bring more developments to the Ghanaian people. For us being privileged to be in government and serve the nation, we ought to go back and give back to the local party in the constituency and if you could remember, I do this more often.
There’s one key and important thing coming up with the donation, and that’s the delegate’s welfare fund. The local party in the constituency, those who work for the party in the constituency, and those who abandon their duties and work for the part, I last promised to donate Gh20,000 to create the welfare fund to support any delegate who may encounter difficulties while serving the party”, he quoted.

Apart from the Delegate welfare fund donation, he also doled out Gh3,000 to Constituency executives to help run the daily activities of the party office.
“When I gave the promise, I requested that an account is created so we can deposit in the fund but due to some few lapses, we could not do. However, apart from the donation, I’m also giving Gh3,000 to the party leadership in the constituency to support their activities and so this is one of my contributions to the party in the Nkawkaw constituency“,

He also called on the party members and the Ghanaian populace to trust in the NPP government and renew its mandate in 2024.
