Nana Owiredu Wadie I, Chairman and Founder of Kabaka Foundation, has handed over a newly constructed and fully furnished model classroom block to the Kwahu East District Education Directorate.

The construction of the new school building is part of the 70th birthday celebrations for his father, Opanyin Kwame Wadie, who attended Nkwatia R/C Primary School.

As part of the KABAKA foundation’s corporate social responsibility, Nana Owiredu Wadie I, who also serves as the Nkosuohene for Nkwatia – Kwahu, and his father decided to give back to society by promoting quality education in the country.

During the handover ceremony on Thursday, May 16, Mr. Issac Agyapong, District Chief Executive for Kwahu East, accepted the new building on behalf of the Education Directorate and expressed gratitude and satisfaction for Nana Owiredu Wadie I and his family’s massive developmental efforts.

Mrs. Juliet Osei, Head Teacher of Nkwatia R/C Primary School, stated in her remarks that she and her teaching staff will ensure that the property is properly used.

The building consists of a three-unit modernised classroom block, a headteacher’s office, a teacher pantry, a staff common room, two teacher restrooms, and two separate student restrooms.
