The Suhum Police in the Eastern Region are looking for a 22-year-old Okada rider who allegedly poisoned his girlfriend at Koransang in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The Okada rider, whose name has only been given as Akooko, was said to be in a romantic relationship with the deceased, 17-year-old Matilda Dankwa, who just completed her junior high school (JHS) education and is awaiting results.
The Assemblyman for the area disclosed that the deceased, who got impregnated by the Okada rider, refuted terminating the pregnancy when the suspect in question demanded the pregnancy to be aborted.
The available source says that on Monday, the suspect came for the deceased and was on board his motorcycle, and a few minutes later, it was reported that Matilda was dead with foam oozing out of her mouth.
The police are suspecting that it might be an incident of poisoning the deceased.
Police have commenced an investigation into the unfortunate incident to unravel the situation and bring the perpetrator to justice if found guilty.
