The Mpraeso Circuit Court has granted bail to the three Ghanaian suspects arrested on Friday, March 21, for their alleged involvement in Galamsey activities at Akoase in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region.
The three accused persons, Freeman Kwafo 42, Augustine Asoma 45 and Bawa Muhammed 25, were on Tuesday , March 25, put before the Mpraeso Circuit Court for their involvement in illegal mining activities (galamsey) in the Eastern Region.
The three were arrested by some youth of Akoase in the Eastern Region on 21st March, 2025 and handed over to the Police.
All three accused persons have been granted bail by the court to reappear on 25th April, 2025.
Meanwhile, the investigation is currently ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the alleged release of two Chinese suspects who were said to have been arrested together with the three accused persons.
