The accident, which happened at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, involved a VIP bus with registration number GR 7632-24 travelling from Tamale to Accra and a fuel tanker.
Five men and two women were reported dead at the scene, while others sustained injuries and were quickly transported to Suhum Government Hospital for medical treatment.
The accident has left the community in shock as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
