A 21-year-old woman has allegedly stabbed her husband over change of meal at Maamaso near New Abirem in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region.
Maafua reportedly stabbed her 29-year-old husband , Kofi when he confronted her for changing banku and okro stew meal to banku and light despite giving her money.
According to reports, the wife, Maafua is said to have told Kofi the money was insufficient for banku and okro stew meal, therefore, she opted to change meal.
Kofi, who had returned from work hoping to enjoy banku and okro stew became unhappy when he noticed the change.
He is reported to have confronted Maafua who told him the money was not enough and that she had saved part of it for later use.
A heated disagreement between the couple escalated into physical altercation, sources said.
Kofi is alleged to have picked a knife during the fight, but Maafua managed to seize it and reportedly stabbed him.
Francis, Kofi ‘s brother who was in another room reportedly rushed to the scene when he heard the noise only to find his brother wounded.
Eyewitnesses told Republic Online, the victim has been admitted at the New Abirem Government Hospital where he was transferred to the Koforidua Government Hospital for further treatment.
