A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Eastern Region, David Asante Boateng, has said the Eastern Region will lead Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s victory in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking during a ‘Thank You Rally’ in Nkawkaw on Saturday, August 29, the former Ghana Publishing MD, said the Eastern Region remains the World Bank of the NPP and has the numbers, structures, and commitment to deliver a massive win for Dr. Bawumia.

“Eastern Region NPP will lead Bawumia’s victory in 2028. We are his home region, we believe in his vision, and we are ready to give him the biggest endorsement,” he stated.

He said Dr. Bawumia has shown competence, humility, and clear vision for Ghana’s transformation through digitalization, youth empowerment, and economic stability.

According to him, the party is already re-strategizing after the 2024 defeat and the Eastern Region is at the forefront of the reorganization.

“From constituency to polling station, we are energized. We will go house-to-house, market-to-market, to sell Bawumia’s message. The victory of 2028 will be led from the Eastern Region,” he added.

Mr. Asante Boateng called on party faithful to remain united and rally behind Dr. Bawumia as the party prepares for 2028.
