The Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Ebenezer Kojo Kum has resigned from his position with immediate effect.

His resignation was announced in a statement from the Presidency on Friday, February 3, 2023 after the Member of Parliament for Ahanta West constituency submitted his resignation letter to the President.

President Akufo-Addo thus accepted his resignation and thanked him for his service to the government and the country.

Details on why the Minister resigned is yet to be known.ย 

Hon. Ebenezer Kojo Kum becomes the third minister to resign from the Akufo-Addo government in less than two months.

The President has however asked the minister for local government, decentralization and rural development, Hon. Dan Botwe to act as caretaker minister.
