Ebo Noah, the man accused of sparking public alarm with a doomsday prophecy of a global flood, has been remanded into custody by the Adenta District Court and ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

The court’s decision came during his first court appearance following his arrest for false communication and causing fear and panic.

The suspect, born Evans Eshun, was taken into custody by the Ghana Police Service’s Special Cyber Vetting Team on December 31, 2025.

His case has drawn significant public attention after he publicly declared that God had warned him of a world-ending flood scheduled for December 25, 2025.

The self-proclaimed prophet had constructed what he described as an “ark” at his premises, which he claimed would save humanity from the impending disaster.

When the predicted cataclysm failed to materialize, Noah reportedly revised his prophecy, suggesting his prayers had successfully postponed the destruction.
