The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned and emergency maintenance from March 1 to March 5, 2026, affecting multiple communities.

In a statement issued on Friday, February 27, and signed by its Communications Department, the power distributor said the exercise is intended to enhance service delivery and strengthen network reliability across the Greater Accra, Tema, Accra East and Accra West operational areas.

“ECG will undertake planned maintenance works to improve service delivery. This will result in a temporary outage,” the company stated in notices circulated to the public, adding that it regrets the inconvenience.

The maintenance begins Sunday, March 1, in the Greater Accra Region, where Trassaco Valley Enclave and nearby areas will be without electricity from 9:00am to 3:00pm. In the Tema Region, industrial and commercial customers along Western Road, including Early Power, Apollo Steel, Crown Can, De-Simone, Tropical Cable, Multi Pac, Jon Moore, Cal Bank and La Bianca, will experience supply interruption within the same timeframe.

An emergency exercise will also be undertaken in the Accra West Region on Sunday, affecting La Darkuman, Kokompe and adjoining communities as engineers address urgent faults on the network.

On Monday, March 2, residents of Alogboshie, Achimota Neoplan, Benjilo, Akweteman and surrounding areas in Accra West will have no power from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Maintenance activities intensify on Tuesday, March 3. In Accra East, outages will hit Santana Market, Zion Police Station, Teshie Camp 2, ICGC, parts of Labone, Dome Pillar 2, Dome K Boat, No Visa, Auntie Mary and nearby locations between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
