The Education Minister, Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum has once again showed how committed he is as far as education related mattes in the country is concerned.
The minister, who doubles as the member of Parliament for the Bosomtwe Constituency in the Ashanti region has taken the full cost of some sixty-one Ghanaian students in his jurisdiction to undertake medicinal and engineering courses in the country’s state tertiary institutions.
A statement cited from his verified Facebook handle confirmed his willingness to ensure that the quality and progress of education in the country is achieved.
“This morning, 14th January, 2022, I bid farewell to 61 students from Bosomtwe who will be studying Medicine and various courses in Engineering fully funded by me.
This adds to the already 30 engineering students I funded last year.
Laptops given to each student, fees, boarding, feeding and transportation paid.
These freshmen will be studying in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University for Development Studies, University of Mines and Technology, University of Energy and Natural Resources and Kumasi Technical University.
My vision of ensuring that Bosomtwe gets 100 Engineers within the next ten years is on course.
Meanwhile, the 2022 academic calendar has finally been released by the education ministry on Friday, January 13, to foresee the education processes in the country.
