The Ghana Police Service has arrested eight individuals in connection with an attack on the Metro Mass Transit (MMT) workshop in Sunyani.
The incident, which occurred on December 9, 2024, saw the suspects unlawfully entering the premises, threatening workers, and forcing them to vacate their offices.
The suspects, identified as Issakah Taugfic, Abudu Isaiah, Abdul Latif Mohammed, Mohammad Azandoro, Alhassan Issah, Amadu Mohammad, Abdulai Adams, and Abdulai Ibrahim, were apprehended after a swift response by police teams following a distress call from the workshop.
This arrest brings the total number of individuals detained for recent incidents of attacks, looting, and property destruction to 97. The suspects remain in police custody as investigations continue.
