Richard Ahiagbah, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Director of Communications, has encouraged the people of Ejisu to vote for the party’s candidate, Kwabena Boateng, in order to secure victory in the Ejisu by-election.

In a tweet on Tuesday, April 30, Mr. Ahiagbah stated that Kwabena Boateng’s victory will pave the way for Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming elections.

“Good people of Ejisu will make a statement today by voting massively for Kwabena Boateng, #2 on the ballot. A victory for the NPP in this by-election will not only honour the memory of Dr John Kumah but also signal the triumph of Bawumia and the NPP on December 7th. Let’s join hands and work towards a landslide victory for the NPP… It’s possible.”

The candidates vying for the position include Kwabena Boateng, who was selected by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on April 13, Esther Osei of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Beatrice Boakye of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), as well as Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, Gabriel Agyemang Joseph and Attakorah Joseph who are all independent candidates.

The contest will be a stiffer one between the NPP’s candidate, Kwabena Boateng and Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, who was once an MP on the ticket of the NPP.

Voting is expected to begin at 7am and end at 5pm as is done in the general elections.

A total of 106,812 registered voters are expected to cast their ballots in 204 polling stations across the constituency.
