The Chiefs and people of Ejura in the Ashanti Region have expressed strong support and conveyed a warm message of goodwill to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, as he campaigns for the presidency in the upcoming election.

During Dr. Bawumia’s visit to Ejura in the Ejura Sekyidumase Constituency as part of his Ashanti Region tour, he met with key stakeholders, including traditional and religious leaders. The Chief of Ejura, Barima Osei Hwedie II, officially welcomed Dr. Bawumia and commended him for his unwavering commitment to the development of the region and the nation.

Reflecting on Dr. Bawumia’s impactful initiatives, Barima Osei Hwedie II highlighted significant contributions, such as solving Ejura’s long-standing water supply issue. “Some time back, we met you at Manhyia during a program and we appealed to you about our water situation. You promised to help us, and truly, just as the Zongo Chief said, you have helped us. Today, the issue of water, which used to be a serious problem, is a thing of the past. Today, Ejura has abundant water supply thanks to your efforts.”

The chief also noted Dr. Bawumia’s role in repairing the roof of the dining hall at Ejura’s secondary school, which was damaged by a rainstorm, and the provision of a modern astro turf for the youth of Ejuraman. “Through your personal intervention, the roof of the dining hall of our secondary school is being fixed after a rainstorm ripped it apart. Also, you have given Ejuraman and its youth a modern astro turf, among the many things you have championed for us.”

Barima Osei Hwedie II affirmed the unwavering support of Ejuraman for Dr. Bawumia, stating, “Ejuraman has decided, and I have endorsed, that wherever you are, we are also right there behind you. We will continue to be with you until the return of Jesus Christ.”

The chief offered his prayers for Dr. Bawumia, wishing him success in his presidential bid. “Our prayer is that may your goodness, kind heart, and determination to transform this country be rewarded by God so that His favours smile on you to become the President of Ghana. How you do your things, and the things you say, clearly show that you are a deep thinker. You are someone who should be blessed to become the President of Ghana.”

Additionally, Barima Osei Hwedie II endorsed Gifty Ndoma, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Ejura Sekyidumase Constituency, emphasizing that with Dr. Bawumia as President and Ndoma as MP, Ejuraman would see further development and progress.
