Kwame Asare Obeng known publicly as A Plus has lambasted Ghanaian fashion designer, Elikem Kumordzie, for some statements the latter made on Utv’s United Showbiz.
Elikem granted an interview on the show following a social media post he made regarding the outfit of rapper Sarkodie.
On Elikem’s Instagram handle, the Tailor posted a picture of Sarkodie and circled some portions of his outfit in an attempt to highlight some fashion defects.
This didn’t go down well with many people on social media; he was severely criticised.
Host of United Showbiz on Saturday, 11th February, 2023, Abeiku Santana, engaged the Tailor and sought to probe further on what his true intents were, he accordingly complied and clarified his actions.
Immediately after the conversation ended, A Plus, who was a pundit on the show didn’t mince words on his thought on Elikem’s submission.
“Having listened to Elikem, I can say he is shallow” the opinionated pundit stated.
According to him, Elikem comes across as someone who criticises but gets exasperated by a modicum of criticism levelled at him.
He made the statement following Elikem’s posture when actor and ordained man of God, Majid Michel, tried to call Elikem out for disappointing him.
According to Majid, the Tailor was supposed to sew him a costume for the show but failed to do so; what seemed to be a joke became a bit expensive , especially on the part of Elikem.
That instance triggered Kwame A Plus and didn’t hesitate to lash out at the outspoken Tailor.
Other pundits on the show also criticised Elikem’s comment on Sarkodie and asked that such acts be eschewed.
