Police officers in Elmina has arrested two young ladies, identified as Beauty Buerkie Buertey, 21, and Maura Amissah, 23, for allegedly attempting to smuggle Indian hemp to inmates at the Ankaful Maximum Security Prison.
The suspects are reported to have been arrested when prison officers at the Ankaful Maximum Security Prison found out that, pepper sauce (shito) concealed in a container had been laced with substances suspected to be Indian hemp.
The two female suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
