On Thursday, June 6, 2024, the Ministry of Energy, in partnership with six other Ministries – Transport; Food and Agriculture; Environment, Science and Technology; Trade and Industry; Finance; and Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development – signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance the development and commercialization of biofuels in the country.
During the signing ceremony, Deputy Energy Minister, Mr. Herbert Krapa, emphasized that the MoU not only enhances inter-governmental cooperation but also signals robust support from key sector ministries, fostering national ownership of the biofuel initiative.
This high-level endorsement is vital for securing the confidence of the private sector and attracting investments crucial for the initiative’s success.
