Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is expected to miss tonight’s crucial Premier League match against Manchester City due to a muscular injury.
According to reports, Partey trained with teammates on Tuesday and was expected to start the top-of-the-table clash at the Emirates Stadium.
But a late injury setback is set to see him miss out.
Although the injury is not thought to be serious, it is nonetheless a significant blow to Arsenal ahead of a hugely important game.
Partey, 29, has been one of Arsenal’s most important and consistent players this season, starting 18 of their 21 games so far.
His injury means Jorginho who recently joined from Chelsea might take his place in the middle of the field for Arteta’s team.
Arsenal are currently top of the league table with 51 points from 21 games.
