The Chief Executive Officer of Erata Motors, Erata Hotels, and Maranatha Hotel, Eddie Kusi Ankomah, has for the second time in 2025 donated relief items to widows, persons with disabilities, and the elderly in Kumawu, his hometown.
The donation exercise was held on 26th December 2025 at the Kumawu Chief Palace as part of activities marking the Christmas festivities.
The event brought together several dignitaries, including pastors, traditional leaders, and the Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Ernest Yaw Anim. Nana Obeng Darko Acheampong and other notable personalities were also present.
Items distributed included bags of rice, cooking oil, clothing, sardines, television sets, blenders, and assorted cooking utensils. Food and drinks were also served to participants.
As part of the programme, a Bible quiz competition was organised for the widows. The winner received a 55-inch television set, while the second prize winner received 43 inch television. The third and fourth prize winners were presented with blenders and cooking utensils respectively.
Speaking to the media, Eddie Kusi Ankomah said the donation was inspired by the blessings God has bestowed on him and his family, adding that he believes in supporting the less privileged. He explained that hosting the event in Kumawu was based on the belief that charity should begin at home.
He described the initiative as a form of evangelism and expressed hope of returning next year with increased support.
The Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Ernest Yaw Anim, commended Mr Ankomah for the gesture, noting that supporting widows, persons with disabilities, and the elderly during festive seasons is pleasing to God. He prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Mr Ankomah to enable him to do more for society.
