Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has finally joined his ‘dream club’ Accra Hearts of Oak.
Antwi attempted to join Hearts of Oak when his contract with Medeama expired in 2021, but he was unable to secure a deal with the capital-based club.
He eventually found himself at Legon Cities, where he helped the club finish in the top half of the Ghana Premier League last season.
However, due to an unpaid signing-on fee and salary arrears, he was forced to terminate his contract, allowing him to join Hearts of Oak on a free transfer.
He has signed a three-year contract with the Phobians.
“We are glad to announce the latest family member, Eric Ofori Antwi.
He signed a 3-year contract after passing his medicals. He joins the pool of great goalkeepers in the squad,” Hearts of Oak announced.
Ofori Antwi will reunite with coaches Samuel Boadu and Hamza Obeng, whom he previously worked with at Medeama.
“He is finally reuniting with his former coaches,” they added.
Hearts of Oak also announced the signing of defender Zakari Yakubu on a four-year contract.
