Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA), Madam Elizabeth Kaakie Mann allegedly deceived the vetting committee about her educational qualification.
The MCE who was recommended by Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome-Kwabenya Constituency and former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP), Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo submitted her Curriculum Vitae [CV] indicating that she holds a Degree which was awarded by University for Professional Studies [UPSA].
Myrepubliconline.com‘s sources went to UPSA to investigate the matter to ascertain the truth about the educational background of the MCE.
Shocking to them, the University denied awarding such a certificate to Madam Elizabeth Kaakie Mann and added that the course indicated was not accredited to be offered by the institution.
It was also noted that the MCE later enrolled in that same institution to offer a Diploma Course.
Some key members of the New Patriotic Party in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency and other opinion leaders are disappointed and have petitioned the Commission on Human Rights and. Administrative Justice [CHRAJ] to investigate Madam Elizabeth Kaakie Mann’s educational qualification presented to the vetting committee.
Describing the MCE’s actions as public deception, the opinion leaders also appealed to the President Nana Akufo-Addo to revoke her appointment with immediate effect if she is found culpable of the allegations.
They noted that the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency in recent times has been in the news for bad political reasons and will be in the best interest to protect the reputation of the NPP.
Myrepubliconline.com’s effort to reach out to Madam Elizabeth Kaakie Mann to establish the truth about the allegation levelled against her has proven futile.
