A self-styled soldier has been busted by security official at Obuasi in the Ashanti region.
The fake soldier was busted by a military official of the Ghana Armed Forces who officiate his duties in Obuasi.
According to the information being picked by myrepubliconline.com, the self-styled officer beseeched a barbering salon on Monday, September 20, evening to trim down his hair.
Report says, upon reaching the saloon, he spotted an ununiformed personnel in the saloon. As one of the many slogans in the security agencies, the self acclaimed soldier who was looking for trouble shouted “Mando” to initiate a conversation with the uninformed officer of the Forces. The official of the army who sensed a foul play around the fake soldier pretended not to have any idea of what “Mando” means.
The official of the Army began to interrogate him asking him to identify his station, unit but he failed to mention his service number and name of his commanding officer.
The fake soldier, subsequently brought out some pictures and recruitments materials, trying so hard to convince the military official of his serviceship to the Army.
The eye witness said upon bringing out his materials, the military officer intercepted a military bag on him, including a rubber gun and other weapons on him, which propelled him to detain him.
A search was conducted in his house after he has been taken to the police station, a portrait of him in military attire, gun and other military materials were discovered.
He also revealed he has another house in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi.
The police has taken up the matter and are currently preparing him for court proceedings.
