The father of Enock Bortey Sackey, the O’Reilly Senior High School student who was brutally murdered, has disclosed alarming new details regarding his son’s death.
Contrary to earlier reports stating that Edward was stabbed with scissors, autopsy findings revealed that he sustained three stab wounds inflicted by a jackknife, highlighting the brutality of the crime.
Devastated by the loss, Edward’s father has vowed to pursue justice for his son, expressing his determination to take action if those responsible are not held accountable.
He voiced his frustration over the handling of the investigation by the police, calling for swift and fair justice.
The case has been adjourned until November 4, 2024, leaving the family and their supporters anxious for a resolution.
During a court session on October 21, 2024, attendees awaited the appearance of the accused, Godwin Mawuli Kwetey.
The court instructed the prosecutor to produce the accused within 30 minutes.
However, when the case was called, the prosecutor requested an adjournment, citing the need for advice from the Attorney General’s Office.
This delay frustrated Edward’s family, who expressed their dissatisfaction.
The magistrate warned the investigator that such delays would not be tolerated in the future.
Tensions escalated when the investigator attempted to justify the hold-up, but the magistrate firmly reiterated the importance of timely proceedings.
