FC Zurich in Switzerland has confirmed the signing of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh from Accra Hearts of Oak Tuesday afternoon.
The forward has signed a three year deal with the Swiss Club and is expected to stay at the club until 2026.
The latest development comes after Accra Hearts of Oak announced a contract extension with Afriyie Barnieh earlier today.
A statement released by FC Zurich however indicates that both clubs have agreed a deal for an undisclosed fee.
“The 21-year-old striker Daniel Afriyie is transferring from the Ghanaian first division club Hearts of Oak to FCZ with immediate effect and has signed a contract until the summer of 2026. The parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the transfer,” part of the statement revealed.
The Hearts of Oak star man is currently with the Galaxies in Algeria ahead of the 2023 CHAN tournament is expected to join the Swiss Super League side after the tournament.
