Feeding Mouths Foundation, a non-governmental organization has donated items worth GH¢7,000.00 to the Ho Prison in the Volta Region.
The Foundation is committed to helping the vulnerable in society by making a sustainable difference in the lives of the underprivileged.
The team led by Miss Dorcas Ankuma presented items such as 50 bags of sachet water, 20 carton’s of soft drinks, bags of rice, cooking oils, tissues, tomatoes paste, caned beef and an amount of GH¢1,500.00 in an envelope.
The items were received on behalf of the prisoners by the Head of the prisons, Chief Superintendent, Janet Asabea with full of joy and enthusiastic support from her officers.
In her remarks, she noted that their doors are always opened to the general public and well meaning Ghanaians who wish to donate to the prison.
The founder, Miss Dorcas Ankuma reiterated that, through the support and donations from the benevolent and philanthropist as their source of funding, the foundation will continue to give back to the society and also create opportunities for the less privilege.
