The Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, is expected to present the mid-year budget review to Parliament today, Monday 31, 2023.
The presentation is in accordance with Section (28) of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (PFMA) Act 921.
The Act requires that the Finance Minister or any other minister designated by the President in the absence of the Finance Minister presents a Mid-Year Review to Parliament six months after the presentation of the main budget for that fiscal year.
The review will detail how the government intends to adhere to recommendations made by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
It will also outline how government intends to restore macroeconomic stability and accelerate the country’s economic transformation.
