Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) 2024 flagbearer, has declared that the support he garnered for the party ahead of the 2024 elections is unmatched in its history.

Addressing party supporters in the Adansi Zone on Wednesday morning, Dr. Bawumia emphasized his significant contributions to the party’s campaign efforts, noting his preference to keep them private.

“I’ve done a lot for the party, just that I don’t come out to say it,” he stated.

He further revealed that the funds he raised for the 2024 election were unprecedented within the party.

“The amount of money I raised for the party in the 2024 election is unprecedented in our party’s history,” he said.

Dr. Bawumia highlighted the provision of over 300 pickups to various constituencies to aid their campaigns, noting that these vehicles are still in use within those areas.

“Over 300 pickups were given to the constituencies for the campaign, and we are still using them there now,” he added.

Meanwhile, Abetifi MP and flagbearer hopeful Dr. Bryan Acheampong is on record to have stated that he personally funded the party’s campaign activities in the Eastern Region by giving 27 of the party’s 33 parliamentary candidates GHC 100,000 every month from May to October.

He also claimed that he disbursed GHC 2,000,000 to each of the 26,000 polling station executives within the Eastern Region for the month of November.

My logistical and financial support to NPP in 2024 elections is unmatched – Dr. Bawumia
