A devastating fire broke out at a scrapyard near the China Mall in Ashaiman, destroying at least 17 containers and properties valued at millions of cedis. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The blaze, which began on [insert date/time], rapidly consumed the area, prompting a swift response from fire service teams in Tema and Ashaiman.
After hours of battling the flames, the firefighters successfully brought the situation under control, preventing further damage to nearby structures.
District Officer III Ebenezer Yenzu, who led the firefighting operation, stated that the cause of the fire remains unknown. “Investigations have commenced to determine the cause of the blaze,” he assured.
