The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced a shortfall in the supply of presidential and parliamentary ballot papers for five constituencies in the Volta Region: Keta, Ketu North, Ho Central, Hohoe, and Ho West.
In a letter signed by Samuel Tettey, Deputy Chairman of Operations, the EC disclosed that the missing ballot papers will be printed by Acts Commercials in Accra.
Political parties and independent presidential candidates have been invited to send two representatives each to observe the printing process, scheduled for Friday, November 29, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Acts Commercials Printing House.
The EC assured stakeholders of its commitment to transparency in resolving the issue and attached a detailed breakdown of the shortfalls to the communication.
This development comes as the nation prepares for crucial elections, with the EC emphasizing the importance of stakeholder involvement in the printing process to maintain confidence in the electoral process.
