Gun-toting men attack 20 passengers on Kumasi-Sunyani highway

Five individuals, including women and children, were fatally shot by unidentified gunmen in Tengmasug, a suburb of the Binduri District in the Upper East Region.

The victims were shot during curfew hours. According to emerging details, the incident occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2025.

The assailants allegedly stormed a household and opened fire on its occupants, who were indoors at the time.

The five individuals reportedly sustained fatal gunshot wounds and died instantly at the scene.

One other person sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment.

The attackers also reportedly shot and killed two bullocks belonging to the household before fleeing the scene.

An investigation is currently underway to identify those responsible for the incident.
