At least 5 people, including an 8-year-old boy, are in critical condition after a road traffic accident at Vineyard in the Ablekuma North Municipality.
Eyewitnesses reported that a Toyota Tundra pickup truck allegedly experienced brake failure and collided with several parked vehicles and traders along the stretch.
The Ablekuma North Ambulance Station was alerted shortly after the incident and responded promptly to the scene. Paramedics conducted on-site triage, stabilized the victims, and transported them to Akawe Hospital and Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
Residents and onlookers commended the swift response of the ambulance crew, noting that their timely intervention helped prevent further loss of life, particularly among the most vulnerable victims, including the young child.
