Residents of Fodoa and Behenease in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region have protested against the alleged sale of their farm land to TLG Mining Company by their Chiefs .
TLG Mining Company, a mining company in the country has acquired a piece of land in the aforementioned towns in the said municipality to prospect for gold mineral.
The peaceful walk and the youth irate comes at the back of Chiefs acting and hiding behind the chief of Tweneduroase in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region, Nana Kwame Kumnipa who reportedly sold their piece of land at Behenease enclave for mining.
According to the youth, the lands are what they depend on for their daily bread, so using it for mining is going to harm them than good.
Reacting to the sale of the piece of land at Behenease enclave, Krontihene of Kwahu Fodoa, Nana Barfour Oduro said heās only conveying the message of the over Lord in him, he (Nana Barfour Oduro ) swears oath to the people he rules over them on the said piece of land, for them to desist farming on it for the purpose of the mining prospecting.
