In a keenly contested election, the former President of the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs, Pimampim Yaw Kagbrese V, has emerged victorious in the Bono East Regional Council of State election.
The election, which took place amidst high anticipation and tight security saw Pimampim Kagbrese V secure 11 votes out of a total of 22 votes cast, cementing his position as the region’s representative on the Council of State.
Pimampim Yaw Kagbrese V, who is also the paramount chief of the Yeji Traditional Area, faced competition from other candidates, including his closest contender, Nana Opoku Fosu Gyeabour, who managed to secure seven votes.
Michael Kwasi Amponsah also obtained four votes with the remaining eight candidates securing nothing in the race.
