The former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Retired Dr. Michael Kwabena Ntumy, has been reported dead.
The fourth chairman of the global Pentecostal church headquartered in Ghana died on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in the morning in Ghana.
Apostle Dr. Ntumy began his full-time ministry at 26 with The Church of Pentecost.
He was called to the office of an Apostle at age 33 and six years later, was elected the fourth Chairman of The Church of Pentecost.
After serving for 2 terms (10 years), he handed over to Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah.
He is known to have survived many challenges which include being held hostage in rebel territory (Liberian Civil War-1990’s), and attacks on his life ranging from physical assaults to poisoning and paralysis leading to his confinement to a wheelchair.
Apostle Dr. Kwabena Ntumy was a great writer who authored several books. He was even the Director of Literary Works of The Church of Pentecost.
Apostle Ntumy retired from active service as an Apostle of the church late this year and official retirement service was held for him and his family on 24th September 2013 in Hamburg, Germany after 39 years in the ministry.
