At least four people have lost their lives and 14 rescued following a deadly road crash in Dawadawa.
The Ghana National Fire Service responded to a road traffic accident at Dawadawa along the Kintampo–Tamale Highway on Saturday, following a distress call at 0655 hours.
An eight-member crew, led by Assistant Station Officer (ASTNO) Emmanuel Agyekum, arrived at the scene and met a collision that occurred between a Kia Rhino truck (GT-5209-16) transporting poultry feed and a Sprinter bus (GE-5377-21) carrying passengers.
Four (4) persons trapped in the wreckage were retrieved lifeless and handed over to the Police, while fourteen (14) injured victims were conveyed to the Kintampo Municipal Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Motorists are advised to exercise caution on the roads to help prevent such incidents.
