Ghana is set to benefit from France’s National Health Platform following talks between Presidents John Dramani Mahama and Emmanuel Macron.

The decision was announced after a meeting where both leaders explored cooperation in key sectors, including healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and regional security.

The National Health Platform, a health compact, aims to bolster Ghana’s healthcare system and ongoing reforms, with President Mahama expressing gratitude to the French government for this partnership.

This meeting was part of President Mahama’s one-day visit to France, during which he also co-chaired the One Health Summit 2026 in Lyon. President Macron commended his participation, acknowledging the impact of the Accra Reset Initiative in addressing global health challenges.

Discussions also included plans to enhance agricultural collaboration to boost food production, as well as partnerships in artificial intelligence and maternal health.
