The Mayor of Freetown, Sierra Leone, has commiserated with the government and people of Ghana following the tragic death of eight officials in a military helicopter crash last week.
Mayor Yvonne Aki – Sawyerr extended her condolences over the helicopter crash on Monday when she paid a courtesy call on the Mayor of Accra, Hon. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, during an official visit to Ghana.
Mayor Allotey, who welcomed his counterpart, expressed gratitude for the visit, describing it as a comforting gesture during a difficult time for the nation.
He noted that the country had lost vibrant and committed individuals whose contributions to national development had been significant.
