The 11 Mechanised Battalion of the Ghana Army has, on Thursday 1 May 2025, observed International Labour Day with an endurance walk and recreational activities in Bolgatanga.
The event, which began at the Unit’s Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCO) Mess, was led by the Commander Rear, Lieutenant Colonel Kakra Sasu-Antwi. It featured a 20-kilometre walk that took participants from the unit’s recreational grounds through the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital Roundabout to the Jubilee Park and back.
The endurance walk formed part of the unit’s routine physical training programme aimed at enhancing the fitness and combat readiness of officers and soldiers.
Lt Col Sasu-Antwi took the opportunity to congratulate personnel for their job output over the period and encouraged them to give out their best at all times.
