The Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Madam Lariba Zuweira Abudu, alongside the Chief Director, Dr. Afisah Zakariah, and some Directors of the Ministry and the Ghana School Feeding Programme, conducted significant working visits to both the Western and Central regions from 29th to 31st August 2023.

The primary objective of the visits to the two regions was to oversee and evaluate the ongoing initiatives of the Ghana School Feeding Programme. (GSFP)

Madam Lariba and her entourage’s itinerary included interactive sessions with caterers and Regional Coordinators of the GSFP.

During those sessions, she aimed to gauge the efficiency and overall impact of the school feeding programme, emphasizing the paramount importance of ensuring that children receive nourishing and wholesome meals.

In addition to monitoring this critical programme, the Minister also engaged in courtesy meetings with both Western and Central Regional Ministers.

Furthermore, the Minister shed light on the Ministry’s activities, objectives, and accomplishments during some media engagements.

The working visits signify the commitment of the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection to actively oversee the programmes under its jurisdiction.

By evaluating the implementation and impact of these initiatives on-site, the Ministry strives to reinforce its dedication to the well-being and development of Ghana’s children and vulnerable populations.
