The Single Window Citizens Engagement Service (SWCES) exists to ensure the effective and efficient resolution of cases and coordinate grievance redress mechanisms for Social Protection (SP) programs and related social issues.
Realizing this crucial objective requires adequate knowledge of SWCES, including a deep understanding of its integral parts, particularly the Unified Case Management System.
Additionally, effective collaboration among case managers from involved agencies is essential, especially concerning challenges such as staff transfers, replacements, or contract terminations.
Therefore, to enhance successful grievance resolution, case management, and effective collaboration, the Social Protection Single Window Citizens Engagement Service organized a ‘Capacity Building Workshop on SWCES for Stakeholders and Relevant Partners’ from Monday, November 20th, to Tuesday, November 21st, 2023 in Koforidua.
The workshop aimed to sensitize and build the capacity of case managers from SP implementing agencies, heads of identified non-profit organizations, CSOs, and private entities.
The goal is to familiarize them with SWCES operations and processes, seek support for vulnerable individuals, and strengthen referrals and service quality.
In her opening statement, the Acting Director for the Social Protection Directorate, Madam Abena Annobea Asare, emphasized that the workshop was designed to cultivate a shared understanding of SWCES processes, clarify roles and responsibilities of identified agencies, build consensus, and expand the SWCES referral directory.
She expressed optimism that with the workshop, stakeholders and partners will gain a deeper comprehension of SWCES and its functions.
They would also have an enhanced understanding of their respective roles and responsibilities. This, in turn, would facilitate efficient coordination and execution of social protection measures and assist those who are vulnerable and disadvantaged.
Madam Naa-Dedei Antie the Head of SWCES, delivered a presentation that focused on the function and delivery pattern of SWCES, while also disclosing the accomplishments made from 2022 till present.
