A delegation from the Ghana Esports Federation (GESF), led by its President, Mr. Igor Boumekpo, has paid a courtesy visit to the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations (MoCDTI), Hon. Samuel Nartey George.
The meeting aimed to introduce the Federation and explore collaboration opportunities to advance digital skills, job creation, and the development of Ghana’s esports industry.
During the engagement, the GESF delegation congratulated Hon. George on his appointment and commended his efforts toward Ghana’s digital transformation agenda.
They reaffirmed their commitment to working alongside the Ministry to integrate esports into the country’s digital economy strategy.
Hon. George welcomed the initiative, expressing the Ministry’s willingness to collaborate with GESF and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to leverage esports as a tool for digital innovation and youth engagement. Discussions during the meeting focused on key areas, including:
