Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah has been named the new Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
His appointment was confirmed last Wednesday in Kumasi when the GFA held a Meet the Press event.
He replaces, Bernhard Lippert, who served as the Technical Director for three years.
Mr. Mintah has spent the last five years as the FA’s Director of Coaching Education, where he played a crucial role in determining the strategic direction of Ghanaian football, from tactical planning to the development of players across all age groups.
Additionally, he collaborated closely with Lippert as an Elite Confederation of African Football (CAF) instructor, training hundreds of Ghanaian coaches for certification courses in Licence D, Licence C, and Licence B at the GFA Technical Centre (Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence) in Prampram.
As Technical Director, Prof. Mintah will collaborate with the FA’s Technical Directorate team to provide guidance and direction for Ghanaian football.
His role will be a very important one for Ghana football, as the FA seeks to find a new direction for football in the country.
